Criterion is thinking about moving beyond terrestrial vehicles altogether, though, and has announced that, after it’s done with the Cagney update, it’ll begin working on introducing planes into Burnout Paradise.

Exclusive trailer for Socom Confrontation from Gametrailers TV. Enjoy!
This is gameplay video from early beta version of SH Homecoming which included one area, perhaps from the beginning of the game. The Russian magazine Egomania plays it and, of course, all comments are in Russian language. But I can assure you that commentator did not say anything we don’t know already, so I prefer not to translate this into English and not to make subs… just watch the game play and don’t pay attention to the voice =)
PS: sorry for my poor English…
===
EDIT:
Thanks to everybody for watching and for your comments and especially thanks a lot to GT for featuring! =)
Here some translation of the commentator’s words, in case if anybody is interested in what exactly is he saying:
- in the beginning he is regretting about the fact that 5th part of the series is not being developed by Konami and outsourced to The Collective;
- he said that it’s one of the first builds of the game for PS3 with one area of the game;
- then some words about meeting people and that main character will experience some flashbacks during the game (like this scene with flashlight and little brother);
- about new conversation system with possibility to choose phrases;
- than he make a joke about a couple of actions in the basement that player have to do to drawn the water and make his way to the backyard - like he can’t just jump over the fence =)
- he said that monster in the basement is the first one in game;
- than about new combat system (but I don’t think that it’s a final version of combat so I just leave this words untranslated)
- and in the end of video he said that it’s very early to make any conclusions but they don’t like the graphics as well and that SH3 looked better… well, like everybody who have seen this video is thinking
This is it, I hope that anybody is interested in that text, thanks again for watching and reading my horrible translation =)
Eurogamer’s wonderful live interview with David Smith from Media Molecule is throwing up all kinds of new information, which we’ve bullet-pointed (without the use of bullet-points) below for easy consumption:
Release Date: October. David can’t be more specific.
Beta: There’s already a Beta running, should gradually grow to include more people. ‘The beta is starting off in a very controlled way, but will hopefully open up to lots more people. We aren’t at a stage yet to know what direction we need to go with this. Personally, I’d love the beta to have as many people as possible, but we need to wait and see.’
Trophies: The guys have been having a ‘lot of fun’ with Trophies, which reflect the LBP ‘Play, Create, Share’ mantra, and some Trophies will require deft use of the machines to achieve……

Down over in Jacksonville, Florida, two teenagers were arguing when one decided to shoot the other. This is already tragic enough, but the “center” of this shooting is a PSP. Zachary Robinson, 17, shot another teenager twice before fleeing the scene. Robinson was subsequently captured and is now charged with aggravated battery. Fortunately, even though there was an art fair being set up at the location, no one was hurt.
We love our PSPs, but these kids went way too far. Also, it wasn’t specified who originally owned the PSP, but let’s not try to shoot each other over one, okay kids?

Despite a previous straight-out denial about Diablo 3 being on consoles, semi-contradictory reports have been leaking out in the press stating otherwise. A couple of days ago Blizzard COO Paul Sams told the Guardian he “do(esn’t) know yet.” He goes on to say it depends on whether “console owners would allow PC players to play against console gamers” and if “gameplay experience will be the same on console, especially regarding the controls.” Blizzard wants everything to be perfect, and that “developing for multiple platforms you sometimes have to compromise. We aren’t willing to compromise.”
Yesterday, Eurogamer’s interview with Vice President of Game Design Rob Pardo has him admitting that a console version of Diablo 3 is “theoretically posssible” but some changes to the control would have to be made. He conceded that the game is “of our major franchises, the one that’s most console friendly, for sure,” and that “Diablo would be the easiest game to translate. But it would still take a bit of work.”
We honestly think this is a just PR speak for “no” to Diablo 3 on PS3, at least not at the same time as the PC and Mac versions. We wouldn’t get our hopes up!
