Much has been said recently about Square Enix turning their back on Sony, as in the last 6 months, Square Enix have seemed to shift camps and now appear to be courting Microsoft much more than anyone else. This is primarily down to the shock announcement revolving around Final Fantasy XIII, when at E3 earlier this year, Square Enix announced that it was no longer a Playstation 3 exclusive in North America and Europe.
Further rumours have been abound recently due to the Tokyo Game Show 2008, where Microsoft had its booth right next to where Square Enix set up. Comments from Yoichi Wada during his keynote speech also helped to ignite the fire, but the question is, where do Square Enix’s loyalties actually lie? Is this all being blown completely out of proportion?

Candid Anthony of theBitbag.com writes: "A friend submitted this video to show us an example to the rampant amount of Penis related levels that have Plagued Little Big Planet over the past few weeks during the Beta. Looks like the moderators have been hard at work getting them to come down. We were able to get a look at what all the fuss is about in this clip. SFW."

It all begins here, folks. You’re about to be inundated with quality titles from now until Christmas. Dead Space is one we’ve been eagerly anticipating, so it’s great to see its release in the US and Asia this week. Even better that it’ll be waiting for us when we return from TGS. Other notable releases include SOCOM, Rock Revolution and Saints Row 2. When we say “notable,” we don’t necessarily mean that in a good way. Here’s the full release list:
US Games
EU Games
Asian Games
Release dates are constantly subject to change, almost completely by random. If you’re worried, clarify with your local retailer. PS3 games are region free, so go ahead and import any game in the list above. Be aware, however, that DLC is region locked, so those downloadable Dead Space suits will only bought if manage to grab them from the appropriate PSN Store.

The original Saints Row had the spotlight to itself when it was launched a little over two years ago. Since then many games, including Grand Theft Auto IV, have been released setting the bar even higher for Saints Row 2. The game is very much like its predecessor and once you realize how much fun you’re having, that turns out to be a very good thing.more after jump
ButtonMasher writes: The introduction to LittleBigPlanet is obviously designed to inspire the imagination and create a spark of intrigue. The voice over is by Stephen Fry, he has a fantastic tone and sets the scene clearly and with a touch of humour. The only person that I think could have possibly done the role justice (other than Mr Fry) would have been David Attenborough. It is the perfect introduction to what is, for the most part, the perfect game.

We’re still recovering from our trip to TGS (in fact, we’re still here in Tokyo). However, we thought you’d appreciate this list of new games which will definitely be supporting Trophies when they release on the PS3. Big first-party and third-party titles can be found on this list:
- Demon’s Soul
- Derby Time Online
- Gomibako
- Quantum Theory
- Resident Evil 5
- Street Fighter IV
- White Knight Chronicles
- Yakuza 3
Unfortunately, the status of other big PS3 games, like Final Fantasy XIII, is still TBD. To check out the full list of Trophy-supported games on PS3, don’t forget to check out our Trophy Portal.

For those of you not yet familiar with the Unsung Heroes series, the rules are as follows; games eligible are those UMD-based releases that Electronic Theatre feels have been underrated, or treated unfairly since launch. And for the Multi-Region PlayStation Portable (along with every other system) we’re keeping it based strictly on titles that have seen UK launch. Below are five top choices for the format that you may well have missed, and would be wise to look at again…
LittleBigPlanet is certainly more than just a game. It is all about creativity and expression. A perfect example would be with this engagement proposal: Youtube user Jed05 has asked his girlfriend to marry him through a level he created in LBP.
